What Is a New Member?
We call “New Family” (new members) those who have come to church for the first time, or who were active in another church and, after a move or for personal reasons, have started attending Onnuri Church and are now taking the discipleship course required for registration so they can begin a new life of faith at Onnuri Church. Church is a place where we live out our faith together; there are limits to a life of faith lived alone. It is when we worship together, are discipled, share our lives with one another, and live as members of a community that exercises the good influence of Christ that we receive life as members of the body of Jesus Christ and enjoy a richer life of faith.

Becoming a New Member
Onnuri Church's new member registration process is the same at every campus and vision church.
Registration ㆍ Class Process
From week 5, a discipleship program called “One-on-One” begins.
You apply for a One-on-One match in week 1; the match is completed in week 4, and One-on-One begins in week 5. The new member registration process includes 4 One-on-One sessions (weeks 5~8), after which 11 more sessions follow (up to session 19).

Staff may occasionally be away from their desk, so it helps to check who the staff member in charge is before you call. On Sundays the church is busy and calls may not be answered promptly, so if possible please call during weekday office hours. See below for office hours.

Welcome
A warm welcome to everyone starting the Onnuri Class.
The Onnuri Class is a required course for everyone who wishes to become a registered member of Onnuri Church. This 8-week course covers both the basic doctrines of the faith and what you need to know as a member of Onnuri Church.
New Member Classes
Week 1
Along with an introduction to the church, we hold individual interviews to understand how the church can best support you, and help you join the community in your area so you can take part in cell meetings.
Weeks 2 to 4
Lectures on God the Creator, essential to the life of faith; QT, for a daily intimate encounter with God; and the discipleship system.
Weeks 5 to 8
You are matched with a One-on-One mentor for One-on-One Bible study, and after 8 weeks you become a registered member. (One-on-One continues beyond the 8 weeks.) If you need pastoral care while taking the 8-week Onnuri Class, ask the new member minister and you will receive the same support as a registered member. We hope that through the Onnuri Church registration process, the dream of 'the very church of Acts' will become your dream too.
Course Guidelines
Weeks 1 to 4 are held at the church and must be completed in order.
From week 5, One-on-One Discipleship begins and you can arrange the meeting place with your mentor. Please note the following.
- You can register as a new member and take the discipleship program at the church closest to where you live.
- Until you complete the classes and the registration process, attendance can only be checked at the church you first visited.
- Please note that attending across different campus churches is not allowed.

- Parking at the Seobinggo Campus is very limited. Using public transportation will help you arrive on time for class.
- The afternoon classes at the Seobinggo Campus repeat in 4-week cycles.
- New members who wish to use the Seobinggo Counseling Office are given priority and may request a meeting with a counseling pastor.

After Completing the New Member Classes
Once you have completed week 4 of the new member classes, we match you with a One-on-One mentor. Please understand that the match may occasionally be delayed in your community. Once you are matched and have completed 4 weeks of One-on-One, you have completed the course required to become a registered member of Onnuri Church.
When you complete the course for becoming a registered member, you are invited to the Fellowship Feast.
Fellowship Feast
The Fellowship Feast is a celebration hosted by the church to congratulate you on becoming a registered member of Onnuri Church.
