Daejeon
How many weeks is the New Member registration course?
It is an 8-week course.
Where is the class held the week after the first registration session? I would like to know the service times as well.
It is held in Haengbok Room 501 (행복 501호). For services and times, please see the service information on the Onnuri Church website (www.dj.onnuri.org) or page 2 of the Daejeon bulletin.
How long is the New Member class? When should I attend a service?
In Week 1, the class starts at 10:35 AM, 1:05 PM, or 3:30 PM and lasts 35 minutes. In Weeks 2-5, the class starts at 10:45 AM and lasts 35 minutes. You may attend the 2nd Service and then the class, or attend the class and then the 3rd Service. (You are welcome to attend any service.)
I missed a weekly session partway through and attended the next week's session. What should I do?
For example, if you attended Week 1 and Week 3, please be sure to attend Week 2 the following week. Only after you have completed Weeks 1-4 can you be connected to the Week 5 One-on-One.
I have completed Week 4, but my connection to the Week 5 One-on-One is delayed. How can I check on it?
You can check by contacting the One-on-One staff member at the Pastoral Support Office.
Who becomes my mentor in One-on-One Discipleship?
Your community matches you with a One-on-One mentor.
How are general adult new members and College & Young Adults distinguished?
Adult new members are assigned to a community by region, based on the address where they currently live, whereas college students and young adults may choose the community they prefer.
What do I need to do to receive baptism?
After completing the 8-week registration course, you can receive baptism education and the baptism interview. For details, please apply at the Pastoral Support Office.
What should I do after completing the 8-week registration course?
The Fellowship Feast (만남의 잔치), which marks the completion of registration, is held on the third Sunday of April, September, and December. You will meet the pastor of your community, the elders, and other members of your community. Please also continue your One-on-One Bible study with your mentor through to the end.
What should I do if I want to move to another community?
Please fill out the transfer-in and transfer-out application for the relevant regional community at the Pastoral Support Office so that it can be processed administratively.
