Women's Ministry

Meditation & Love-Sharing School Seobinggo

Overview
A school that links the Word we meditate on with hands-on experience, so that it is put into practice in daily life as love for God and love for neighbor. It consists of QT sharing and lectures on field ministry.
Activities
  • Meditating on the Word and sharing QT
  • Serving marginalized neighbors in person (prisons, detention centers, youth shelters, the homeless, senior welfare centers, women in prostitution, North Korean defectors, etc.)
How to Apply
  • Who: Registered members of Onnuri Church who have completed at least one of the QT Sharing Room, Bible Read-Through or Psalms Meditation schools

Good Neighbor Mobile Team Seobinggo Yangjae

Overview
A team formed so that, as disciples of Jesus Christ, we live lives of loving God and our neighbors, meditating on the Word and going out to serve the poor and marginalized. For loving God is shown through loving our neighbor.
Activities

Seobinggo

  1. 1) Seoul Detention Center: worship and one-on-one counseling with foreign women inmates (3rd Friday of every month, 10:00)
  2. 2) Cheongju Prison: worship and one-on-one counseling with foreign women inmates (1st Friday of every month, departing from the church at 10:00)
  3. 3) Gunpo Hanaro Youth Shelter: birthday parties and cooking classes (once a month)
  4. 4) Beon-dong Koinonia (intellectual disabilities): worship and outings with people with disabilities (3rd Monday of every month)
  5. 5) Cheongpa-dong Senior Welfare Center: birthday parties for seniors living alone (once a month)
  6. 6) Gayang-dong Hanteo (North Korean defectors): meal service for defector youth (1st Saturday of every month)
  7. 7) Seoul Station homeless: visits to the homeless counseling center (once a month)
  8. 8) Seoul Briquette Bank: sponsoring and delivering coal briquettes to seniors living alone in Sanggye-bon-dong (once a year)

Yangjae

  1. 1) Nambu Detention Center: worship and one-on-one counseling with foreign women inmates (3rd Thursday of every month)
  2. 2) Woorideul School ministry: meal service for North Korean defector students (every Tuesday)

Kneeling Missions Prayer School Seobinggo Yangjae

Overview
A 12-week school in which missionaries from each region are invited to share mission reports and we pray together. It is a gathering of "kneeling missionaries" who pray for the nations in the inner room, interceding for unreached peoples, the nations and missionaries through the missionaries' testimonies and field reports.
Activities

Seobinggo

In the afternoon group meetings, 30 groups intercede simultaneously for the 240 countries of the world.

Yangjae

  • Time: Every Thursday 10:20~14:00 (starting in March and September - 12-week course)
  • Location: Hwapyeong Hall, Yangjae

Bible Read-Through School Seobinggo Yangjae

Overview
A school that helps you read the whole Bible in 4 months, 10 chapters a day.
Activities

Seobinggo

Lectures cover themes such as the kingdom of God, God's covenant and God's love.

  • Time: Starts every March or September
  • Location: To be announced

Yangjae

  1. 1) Understand the historical flow of the whole Bible through the Panorama Bible survey.
  2. 2) A school that helps you read through the Bible more deeply, together with meditation.
  3. 3) Offered in two parts: New Testament and Old Testament.
  • Time: Starts every March or September (every Friday)
  • Location: Hwapyeong Hall, Yangjae

QT Sharing Room Seobinggo Yangjae

Overview
The QT Sharing Room is a small-group gathering where each person shares the grace received through QT and their daily lives; through personal sharing, we share in the restoration of family, church and society. Each sharing room has 5~6 members and meets once a week.

Women who are registered members of Onnuri Church
Activities
  • Meditating on the Word and sharing how it applies to daily life
  • Intercessory prayer: interceding together so that we live out the Word we have meditated on
