Family Ministry

God's Family Training School Seobinggo Yangjae Bucheon Suwon

Overview
Begun with Pastor Yongjo Ha's vision for family ministry, this program has continued for 30 years since 1993. It is the flagship program of our family ministry and our only full-scope marriage school course. It presents biblically the model of the beautiful family that God dreams of, and through a series of training courses, it helps couples enjoy "high-quality happiness" and be born again before God as a "holy family."
Who It's For
Any couple married 10 years or more (non-Christians may also participate)
Regular Prayer Meeting
  • Time: Every Thursday 20:00~21:30
  • Location: ONLINE meeting
School Schedule
  • Time: 3 times a year (March / June / October), 4 weeks in total per session (2 weeks of single-day Saturdays + 2 weeks of overnight Saturday–Sunday stays)
  • Location: Yangji Vision Village and others
  • Curriculum: God's grace, principles of the biblical family institution, People Puzzle, marriage conversation, genogram, deep conversation on marital intimacy, marriage healing & unity, spirituality of God's family, raising children, commitment, and more

Young Couples School Seobinggo

Overview
With the motto "A Honeymoon Once Again," this program is for newlyweds and young couples married 12 years or less. Couples share the conflicts hidden behind the joy of newlywed life, and as they work through them, they gain spiritual insight and experience true restoration of their relationship.
Who It's For
Any couple married 13 years or less (non-Christians are welcome)
Regular Prayer Meeting
  • Time: Every Thursday (women's prayer meeting: morning; men's prayer meeting: evening)
  • Location: Recreation Room, 2F, Onnuri Youth Center; Welcome Center of Onnuri Church (Seobinggo); and others
School Schedule
  • Time: 2 times a year (spring semester: April; fall semester: October), 4 weeks in total (single-day Saturdays)

  • Curriculum: God's family, marriage conversation & differences between men and women, an intimate married life, a blessed family

Beautiful Companionship "Coupling" Seobinggo

Overview
A couple coaching program, a 4-week course centered on sharing and application, in which one couple trained as couple coaches joins three other couples to help them build "a beautiful marriage that walks with Jesus."
Who It's For
Any couple (non-Christians and members of other churches may also participate)
Program Schedule
  • Location: A church seminar room or another quiet place (e.g., a cafe); ONLINE is possible
  • Group formation: One coach couple and two or three participating couples
  • Time: Once a week, 3 hours; each group decides when to meet
  • Curriculum: 1. Measuring marital happiness, 2. Getting to know each other as a couple, 3. How couples grow closer, 4. God's providence for the family.

External Cooperation Team Seobinggo

Overview
The team visits the Onnuri Church campuses, local churches in Korea, migrant churches, and overseas churches in person to run the "Happy Marriage School," in various formats that take into account the region of the participants, the size of the supporting families, and their national background. Since starting the marriage school in Seattle in 2002, the Onnuri Church External Cooperation Team has served actively in Korea and abroad, helping to build the families God desires.

Onnuri Church campuses, outside churches in Korea and abroad, migrant churches in Korea, overseas churches, and others

  • Happy Marriage School: held over 4 weeks, every Saturday
  • Marriage lectures and seminars: held once every two months, depending on the requesting church's circumstances

Dream Again (Divorced) Seobinggo

Overview
This program helps people move beyond the shock of divorce, experience God's comfort, and boldly take their first steps into life on their own. It is for those facing the crisis of divorce and those who are separated, and helps them prepare for life as a single person now and for the life ahead. It is carried out through the regular DRS worship service and the Dream Again School (spring and fall).
Who It's For

Any man or woman who is divorced, separated, or facing the crisis of divorce (those not registered at Onnuri Church may attend)

Love My Life (Group for Widows)Seobinggo Yangjae

Overview
This is a group for women who have lost their husbands, focusing on overcoming the sense of loss and fear that come with bereavement. Members share one another's pain, worship together, and experience God's comfort. It offers a process of healing wounds and gaining strength for a new life in Christ's love.

The purpose of the group is to care for the spiritual, physical, and social needs of the bereaved and their families, and ultimately to serve those in the same situation with the love of Jesus, living abundant lives together as children of God and sharing the gospel.
Who It's For
Any woman who has experienced the pain of losing a spouse (those not registered at Onnuri Church may attend)

Hello Mom Seobinggo

Overview

A gathering of women living a biblical life

This is a course in which all women interested in a biblical worldview

  1. 1. build their identity in God,
  2. 2. are shown a biblical way of life,
  3. 3. build their families in God, and
  4. 4. learn how to raise their children with the Word.
Who It's For
All women interested in a biblical worldview: brides-to-be, those preparing for pregnancy, expectant mothers, mothers raising children, and even grandmothers caring for grandchildren (no age limit)

Youth Class Seobinggo

Overview
An essential lecture for Christian young adults: how to date well in God

Sixty single Christian young adults of marriageable age (30 men and 30 women) hear lectures on biblical dating and marriage, and are given a setting for natural encounters through 3-on-3 and 1-on-1 conversations.
Who It's For
Christian young adults of marriageable age who can attend both days of the program
Curriculum
Held four times a year with a variety of seminars and events
